Joe's Buffet it's one of those places I've been eating every since I was like an JR HIGH school.in the mid 70's. Been doing the same thing since I was 13 years old roast beef and pastrami dip no mail no mayonnaise no tomatoes no lettuce the way you're supposed to eat it this soaking wet with all the great sauce

Because my friend lives in Fairfield I have been here multiple times. The care, expertise and food quality are Five Stars consistently. Fresh in house cooked meats and prepared sides. Freshest most like homemade tasting food served with a smile in a no frills dining room. You won't need your glasses to SEE the meat in these sandwiches! If your on your way from Sacramento to the Bay or just in the Fairfield vicinity, you owe it to your tastebuds to stop by. $ reasonable prices FREE parking

It's good but used to be waaaay better back in the day and they changed the rolls they used to have Colombo french bread now I don't know what they use but suggest they either make their own bread or find a new supplier but I still recommend it's bomb

I've been coming here for years and have yet to have a bad experience. Just pick your sandwich add a side and your mouth will water before you pay. The pastrami is excellent!! Their roast beef is legendary!! Combine them together and you have the Joe's special. You win all three ways. My only regret is that after having this you won't want it any other way.

Joe's buffet has been a staple in Fairfield CA for many years and for good reason. It's sandwiches are simple and use quality ingredients. The dining area is quite bland and could use some decor. I really do suggest trying it once because the first bite will speak for itself.

Make sure you are really hungry when you come here!! They have great big sandwiches 🥪 very tasty and filling too!! We tried the roast beef and corn beef 🥩 both where great 👍👍

I’ve been going to Joe’s off and on since I was in high school at Armijo in 1966. Great French dips every time! The last time I was there was 3 weeks ago and will not return. The man doing the preparation and woman right next to him and another woman behind the serving area- no masks, one no gloves. Yes, they did have the plexiglass shields and distancing by customers in line but no sandwich is worth getting Covid 19. I’ll miss the great food and service. Bye

I have been going to Joe's buffet since 1984 when I started high school this is the best sandwich in the world, and the people that work there are the best mostly family maybe that's why there the greatest

Joe's Buffet is a local favorite! The owner (will respond to Joe, although that's not his actual name) is always there and is very personable. Their sandwiches are incredible and I personally love their potato salad. Every time I visit Fairfield, I have to go and get it!The food is affordable and worth the price as well. The interior may seem a little dingy and not super posh, but it's the food you go for and nothing else seems to matter after you've eaten that delicious sandwich.Another specific thing that I love is that they still have the glass bottle Snapples. It's not a big deal, but it's fun to have that throwback since no one else seems to have them anymore.Just a fantastic place to eat.

This spot clearly knows how to please their clients. Always with a very nice demeanor. The food is affordably priced, always delightful and neat.

This place is amazing! I had the French dip sandwich, Mac and cheese, and a couple pickles. The sandwich had a lot of meat on it and they dropped the bread as well as the meat into the juice (au jus) and it was served with a thicker juice/gravy. The Mac and cheese was rich and tasty. I really like eating here. The lobby is huge with lots of seating.

Joe's Buffet is a Solano County staple. Popular amongst Armijo high students and courthouse staff, this hot deli counter is a great place to grab lunch. No nonsense, cafeteria seating and big portions. Come hungry! This is a family owned establishment that we hope will be around for many years!

Never had a bad time here. The staff are friendly, the food tastes delicious, the prices are cheap. Its not really Joe's and its not really a buffet. The seating isn't the best... But you don't go to Joes for the seating, You go for the food.

I go to Joe's buffet everytime I'm in fairfield. The owner is a really good guy, hes there everyday making sure the boat runs a float. The quality of the food is amazing! I get the dip with the roast beef and it never let's me down. I dont think this place will ever go down. Family run and very good to there customers.

Best roast beef sandwich you'll find anywhere

It's not a buffet as you think of copious quantities of food. It's a sandwich buffet where you can have basically any type of meat between any type of bread that you could possibly imagine and all kinds of toppings. The sandwiches are super huge reasonably priced, with the corned beef and roast beef made on premises along with all of the sides. Definitely worth the trip!

This is by far the best Pastrami Sandwich I've ever had! The pastrami is tasty and high quality. Does not have all the fat you typically find in a sandwich like this. The staff is very friendly, and will give you a taste of things to help you decide. I love the potato chunks as a side; the seasoning on them is delicious. The value of the meal deal can't be beat, and you won't leave hungry. The eating area could use some TLC, but I look past that because the food is soooo good.

I do not live in Fairfield/Vacaville, just visited. I had been here for 2 weeks and hadn’t found a local place that was memorable or set itself apart. I was walking downtown and came upon this place. This what you look for a in local no frills restaurant. Friendly people that seem to truly enjoy serving the local community. I will return to this place any time I get a chance. The Roast Beef French dip was delicious. Generous portions and very affordable. If ever in the area, I’ll be back!

Rolls beef and so many other appetites and siding as well as the main soup a unique Beef Broth, potato salad authentic for real you'll be full and take with you home to go. Reasonable prices. This place is my first choice restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to this restaurant. everytime I want to go to a delicious meal, this restaurant comes right away to my mind. outstanding and varied food and a rich cuisine.well mannered team, and good atmosphere.
